Judith Dugan, 68, of Isabella, died June 18, 2020, at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas. A private memorial service will be held at a later time.

She was born Nov. 11, 1951, in Denison, Iowa, the daughter of Warren and Hilda Rath Whited. After her mother died when she was 3, she was raised in Denison by her sister Delores Slater and husband Bob. She was baptized at age 13 at First Baptist Church in Denison. She graduated from Denison Public School in 1969. After graduation, she worked at Cronk’s Café in Denison until she moved to Theodosia around 1981 with her sister, Irene Stone, to help manage a restaurant there.

In 1981, she married Cecil Clayton. After his death, she married Bill C. Dugan in 2007 in Isabella.

Mrs. Dugan was a lifetime member of the VFW and was active in the Isabella post while she was still able. She was a sweet, loving person to her family and friends. She loved her big red roses and was proud of the garden she and her family members maintained. She was an excellent cook, and her family loved visiting and enjoying her special biscuits and gravy and her delicious pies. She was a big country music fan and especially enjoyed sharing it with her twin brother, Jerry. They loved visiting Branson with other family and friends, attending music shows there.

She was never blessed with children of her own but always considered all her nieces and nephews as her children and showered them with love and affection.

She is survived by her twin brother Gerald “Jerry” Whited of Deloit, Iowa; two sisters, Donna Stone and husband Larry of Schleswig, Iowa, and Ruby Barnes of Isabella; one sister-in-law, Joleen Whited; two brothers-in-law, Fred Sherburn and Allan Stone; four step-daughters, Brenda, Kathy, Kim and Krissie; one stepson, Floyd; her good friends Stacy Piland of Gainesville and Steve Pogue of Tecumseh; and many beloved nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
