Graveside services for John Emery Schultz, 91, of Theodosia, were held Nov. 19, 2020, at the Lutie Cemetery in Theodosia with David Dodson officiating. Mr. Schultz died Nov. 15 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He was born July 3, 1929, in Washington, Missouri, the son of John Emery Sr. and Faye Hathcock Schultz. Upon his retirement in 1986, he and Mrs. Schultz moved to Theodosia, where Mr. Schultz was very active, including serving for many years as a first responder with the Theodosia Area Volunteer Fire Department and also serving as deacon at the True Hope Baptist Church. He was a wonderful, hard-working man who truly had a servant’s heart.
