James ‘Jim’ Williams, 70

Funeral services for James D. “Jim” Williams, 70, of Pottersville, were held Dec. 5, 2017, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains. Mr. Williams died Nov. 29 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born June 16, 1947, in Caulfield, the son of James Oscar and Mackie Jean Postle Williams.  On Aug. 17, 1984, in Cotter, Arkansas, he married Linda Colvin. He worked as a logger and enjoyed working on the Beavers’ farm.  He was blessed with many good friends and family members.  He enjoyed showing his horse, Bella, with his granddaughter, Cailey.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Williams, of the family home; four children, Dewayne Williams, Regina Perry and husband David, Vera Beavers and husband Robbie and Brian Groves; five grandchildren, Jon, Bailey, Chase and wife Tressa, Skylar and wife Kasi and Cailey; five great-grandchildren; special friend Brooke House; six brothers, Jerry Williams and wife Sandra, Jack Williams and wife Connie, Vic Williams and wife Kathy, Gary Williams and wife Cindy, Larry Williams and wife Kathy and Randy Williams; three sisters, Joy Brazeal and husband Cecil, Betty Riley and husband Scott and Linda Hoover and husband Rick; mothers-in-law Beryl Colvin and Myrtle Hensley; sister-in-law Terri Summers and husband Wayne; brother-in-law Barry Colvin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Meril Ann Hensley Williams; and one brother, Jared Williams.
