Curtis A. Weatherholt

Graveside services for Curtis Anthony Weatherholt, 63, of Tecumseh, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2020, at the Clear Springs Cemetery in Tecumseh with Brother David Evans officiating. A lunch for friends and family will precede the service at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the adjoining Clear Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Weatherholt died June 28 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He was born Feb. 4, 1947 in Tuscola, Illinois, the son of Paul Dean and Dolores Darlene Hendrix Weatherholt. 

Mr. Weatherholt was an expert wood craftsman, specializing in custom-made cabinetry and furniture. In addition to his love of working with wood, he had a deep love for God and a particular fondness for his church family at Clear Springs Baptist, where he served as a church elder. His craftmanship and love for the church is in clear evidence throughout the church’s interior.

Mr. Weatherholt had a zest for life, a great sense of humor and was always available to help others out whenever and wherever he could. His life had a deep positive impact on many people.

He is survived by his brothers, Keith W. Weatherholt of Mountain Home and Bryan A. Weatherholt of Brookfield, Illinois; sister-in-law Charita T. Weatherholt of Mountain Home; stepmother Edna “Mitzi” Rayborn of Wiggins, Mississippi; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald D. Weatherholt of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clear Springs Cemetery Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
