Brian Regan Honeycutt, 53

Brian Regan Honeycutt, 53, of Springfield, formerly of Longrun, died Nov. 10,  2021, in Springfield following a valiant fight against a prolonged illness. The family will hold a private celebration of his life at a later time.

He was born Nov. 20, 1967, in Merriam, Kansas, the son of Alvin and Ozark County native Delois Clayton Honeycutt. He graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in Kansas in 1985. Upon graduation, he began his career as a security guard in the Kansas City area and worked at various locations. He was an intellectual. He could rebuild computers, and he was also a literature, music, film and history enthusiast. He loved animals and carried a special place in his heart for them. He lived for a while with his uncle and his father in Longrun. 

Mr. Honeycutt will be remembered for the contagious laughter that accompanied his great sense of humor, his kind spirit, his love for helping those who struggled, his intelligence, his honesty, his forgiving nature and other admirable characteristics. 

He is survived by his sister, Cynthia Hull of Springfield; his brothers Kevin Honeycutt of Longrun and Marty Honeycutt of Mountain Home, Arkansas; his great-aunt Versal Terry of Gainesville; and many nieces and nephews plus a few great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Stanley Honeycutt; paternal grandparents Willis and Dora Pellham Honeycutt; maternal grandparents Chauncey and Ola Stone Clayton; brother-in-law Chris Hull; and best friend Robert Shafford.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Friend Cemetery in Isabella.
