Funeral services for Eloise Epley, 89, of Dora, were held June 30, 2012, at Family Life Church in Dora. Mrs. Epley died June 26, at West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains.
She was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Dora to Elzey Franklin Collins and Alpha Clara Hall Collins. She attended Collins School and then graduated from Bakersfield High School.
On Feb. 27, 1943, she married Raymond Lee Epley in St. Louis. Mrs. Epley was a homemaker, farmer and assistant postmaster at Dora. She enjoyed fishing, farming and raising cattle.
Mrs. Epley was a member of Family Life Church.
She is survived by two children, John Epley and wife Donna of Dora and Kirby Epley of Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren, Debbie Cooper of Norfork, Ark., and Jamie Epley and wife Georgia of Protem; four great-grandchildren, Jason Cooper, Kyle Cooper, Nick Epley and Alex Epley; one great-great-grandchild, Haley Cooper; three sisters-in-law, Ruby Ballinger of Westboro, Leona Collins of Tucson, Ariz., and Ann Easter and husband Tom of Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 3, 1994; her parents; and one brother.
