Jan. 15 (continued from last week’s Times)

11:17 a.m. – Stranded motorist in red Jeep Patriot has slid off roadway on County Road 320 at Northfork Village. Caller will recover vehicle later.

11:26 a.m. – Stranded motorist on Highway 181: caller said her vehicle is unable to move. OCSD gave caller number for Ron’s Recovery. 

11:48 a.m. – Medical: Patient transport to Gainesville Health Care Center needed. Ozark County Ambulance responded.

12:10 p.m. – Caller said the decal has been stolen from her license plate. Referred caller to Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

12:25 p.m. – Vehicle accident: red Ford Escape in rollover with no injuries at Cedar Oak and Hillside drives. OCSD contacted MSHP; Gainesville Fire Department also responded.  

2:25 p.m. – Stranded motorist in silver Cadillac STS on Highway 101 at state line. Caller will get vehicle tomorrow.

4:53 p.m. – Medical: 83-year-old female is vomiting and has general illness. Thornfield VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

4:56 p.m. – Vehicle accident: rollover with no injuries at EE and O highways. Contacted Ron’s Recovery.

 

Jan. 16

7:45 a.m. – Caller said black angus is on roadway at N Highway and County Road 136. OCSD contacted animal owner. 

9:29 a.m. – Caller said he had to shoot a deer at Highway 5 and County Road 108 that had been torn up by coyotes and was still alive. 

11:22 a.m. – Stranded motorist: Caller said a truck with a 16-foot gooseneck trailer is blocking roadway on County Road 530. Referred to MSHP.

1:56 p.m. – Structure fire on Howell County Road 7370. Bakersfield and Tecumseh VFDs.

6:09 p.m. – Douglas County referred a call that came in reporting an 86-year-old female having a possible stroke. Dora VFD, OCA, Cox EMS and Air Evac dispatched.

8:58 p.m. – Caller on County Road 157 has lost wallet and wants it on record in case it’s found. 

11:48 p.m. – Front motion alarm at Cash Saver Pantry. OCSD responded; checked OK.

 

Jan. 17

12:22 a.m. – Caller says he has been receiving obnoxious texts from someone he believes is stalking his house. OCSD responded; unable to locate.

6:06 a.m. – Medical: Elderly male is lying on floor and has weakness in arms and legs. OCA and Lick Creek VFD responded. Emergency responders had to make forcible entry as caller was unable to get to the door and was yelling from inside the home.    

7:49 a.m. – Single-vehicle accident on T Highway half mile from Highway 5 south. No injury but damage to vehicle and trees. MSHP responded.

10:31 a.m. – Fire call on Highway 14, 2 miles east of Highway 181. Dora VFD and South Howell Ambu-lance responded. 

12:04 p.m. – Two-vehicle accident at the Ozark County Food Pantry building. 

2 p.m. – Caller on County Road 519A said someone broke out the window in his truck. OCSD officer spoke with caller on the phone. 

3:51 p.m. – Medical: 62-year-old female with COPD is having trouble breathing. OCA and Pontiac VFD responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

3:56 p.m. – Caller believes she bought a puppy from a puppy mill in Ozark County. 

6:20 p.m. – Mutual aid requested for structure fire in Clarkridge, Arkansas. 

6:54 p.m. – Caller reported three cars parked along County Road 158. Referred to MSHP.

6:11 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested on Highway 160. OCSD responded; checked OK.

7:43 p.m. – Medical: unresponsive male. OCA and Gainesville Fire responded. 

8:01 p.m. – Caller said a vehicle had gone through the fence on Jean Bean Drive and subject has agreed to fix it. Wanted it on record. 

8:40 p.m. – OCSD was asked to aid another agency in checking on a child at a specified location. OCSD rendered assistance; no one was at residence.

9:18 p.m. – Caller believes he is being stalked. OCSD rendered assistance.

11:08 p.m. – Caller says vehicle ran off the roadway on County Road 353, losing a wheel. No injuries; caller is unsure if property damage occurred. Caller called back and said the individual had repaired his tire and has left the site. 

Jan. 18

1:04 a.m. – Caller on County Road 559 said someone in the area has been trying to get their vehicle unstuck. Unsure where the vehicle is. Referred to MSHP.

7:59 a.m. – Caller requested well-being-security check on a child. Asked OCSD to contact subject at her work for working phone number. 

8:27 a.m. – Medical: 69-year-old female has passed out. She is breathing but is not awake. OCA and Gainesville Fire responded.

12:20 p.m. – Caller said neighbors’ dog is outside during the cold weather. OCSD officer spoke with animal owner. 

12:32 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested on two children. OCSD officer left messages on both phone numbers available.

2:42 p.m. – Vehicle accident reported on Highway 181 north of Hodgson Mill, causing damage to front bumper and grill to 2007 Dodge. Wanted on record for insurance.

4:49 p.m. – Vehicle accident at Highways 160 and J; black Jeep ran off the highway and then back on highway. MSHP, OCSD, Ron’s Recovery dispatched.

5:11 p.m. – Caller said he came to his cabin today and found the doors open on several cabins, and someone has driven through his gave. OCSD took report.

5:44 p.m. – Medical: Blood draw requested. OCA responded.

9:30 p.m. – Caller said he can see a fire near Locust Road. Lick Creek VFD responded, with Gainesville and Pontiac on standby.

 

Jan. 19

7:43 a.m. – Prisoner transport: Misty Gant to Vandalia and picking up Jon Latham at Pike County.  

2:41 p.m. – Subject was at Theodosia location checking on children when another subject made threats. OCSD rendered assistance.

4:33 p.m. – Caller said someone has damaged her front door. Handled by OCSD officer.

6:48 p.m. – Medical: 16-year-old male suffered head injury at Lutie School. Theodosia Area VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

6:56 p.m. – Caller wanted it on record that a subject will not let her have kids for the weekend. 

9:23 p.m. – Caller reported a deer with two broken legs at T Highway and County Road 527; he is going to put the deer down and keep the meet. 

9:45 p.m. – Warrant arrest in Isabella.

 

Jan. 20

1:44 a.m. – Warrant arrest on N Highway: Julie Lazorchak. 

9:39 a.m. – Medical: female in her 80s has possible broken arm. OCA responded. Patient was transported to OMC.

10:27 a.m. – Caller said she evicted tenants from a residence, and they have abandoned three small dogs. OCSD rendered assistance; animals were relocated to West Plains animal shelter.

11:33 a.m. – Caller said a black-and-tan puppy wearing an orange collar is lying in the roadway on Highway 160 near Miller’s Store. OCSD was unable to locate animal owner; dog has moved from roadway.

5:39 p.m. – Medical: 15-year-old female at Gainesville High School is not feeling well and is having trouble breathing. OCA and Gainesville Fire responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

5:54 p.m. – Caller hit a deer on O Highway with his 2010 Honda Accord. Wanted it on record.

6:30 p.m. – Warrant arrest on W Highway.

8:35 p.m. – Warrant Arrest on Highway 95. 

 

Jan. 21

12:31 a.m. – Caller reported an unknown vehicle on Stone Mountain Drive. OCSD responded; unable to locate. Gate locked.

1:08 a.m. – Caller caught someone poaching a deer at Highways 181 and FF. Subject took off in a lifted blue Chevy pickup headed toward Dora. Deer was wounded and still alive, so caller put it down and claimed meat. 

1:42 a.m. – Domestic disturbance call on County Road 806. OCSD responded; 12-hour rule instated. 

9:53 a.m. – Security alarm activated on County Road 576. OCSD responded; checked OK.

11:10 a.m. – Caller on County Road 519A said his neighbor has stolen his battery out of his tractor within the last couple of days. OCSD officer spoke with both parties.

1:06 p.m. – Gas drive-off at Bullseye after pumping $45 in fuel. Vehicle was older model silver Porsche headed toward Taney County. OCSD took report but no OCSD deputies were in position to respond. OCSD notified Taney County to be on the lookout for the vehicle.   

1:53 p.m. – Caller found an injured deer that someone else had hit on Highway 101 a half mile north of Bakersfield. Caller put the deer down and is taking the meat. Caller was told meat needed to be consumed in 90 days; no tickets from MDC to fill out.

2:28 p.m. – Medical: 53-year-old female says she is having trouble breathing and is feverish and paralyzed after interacting with grandchildren. Caulfield and Tecumseh VFDs and OCA responded. 

2:53 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested on a person on County Road 368. OCSD responded; checked OK. 

3:44 p.m. – Caller in Gainesville said she is being harassed by a subject she sold a car to. OCSD officer tried to make contact with subject, but there was no answer and voice mail was not set up.  

5:49 p.m. – Verbal disturbance reported at Highways 95 and D. OCSD rendered assistance; nothing going on.

7:24 p.m. – Warrant arrest in Hardenville: Michale Lloyd Hand. 

 

Jan. 22

4:09 p.m. – Highway obstruction reported: tree branch blocking eastbound lane on Highway 160 5 miles east of Tecumseh store.

4:24 p.m. – Highway obstruction reported: tree blocking roadway on Highway 5 south near Payday Loan. 

6:50 a.m. – Medical: 57-year-old male fell two hours ago and hit his head. He has fallen multiple times since then and now is on the ground and looks like he’s having a seizure. OCA, Theodosia Area VFD and Air Evac responded. Patient was transported by Air Evac.
