Sheriff's report: Nov. 22, 2017

Nov. 13

8:20 a.m. – JMart Bullseye reported stealing incident caught on camera. Ozark County Sheriff’s Department rendered assistance.

10:06 a.m. – Caller reported animal abandonment and cruelty. OCSD rendered assistance; reporting party will come into office to fill out statement.

11:21 a.m. – OCSD officer handled an incident on County Road 334. 

11:28 a.m. – Caller at Zanoni Mill said unauthorized persons are dumping trash in their dumpster. OCSD rendered assistance.

11:34 a.m. – Medical: 71-year-old male at Gainesville Health Care Center has left shoulder pain and is asking to go to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Ozark County Ambulance responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

1:52 p.m. – Well-being/security check requested. Caller got a call from neighbor’s niece saying neighbor was distraught and caller was going to check on her. Pontiac VFD responded. Situation checked OK.

3:14 p.m. – Caller said someone has broken into a house she is caring for. She’s unsure if anything has been taken but will be in touch with the homeowner. Caller spoke with officers who will follow up with homeowner.

3:26 p.m. – Grass fire on County Road 582 by Hawkins Ridge Church. Bakersfield, Tecumseh and Caulfield VFDs responded.

3:39 p.m. – Brush fire reported on County Road 508. Timber Knob, Lick Creek, Pontiac and Tecumseh VFDs were dispatched. Tecumseh was canceled. Fire was under control at 5:02 p.m.

7:17 p.m. – Medical: 78-year-old is vomiting and in pain. OCT responded. Patient was transported to  Cox Hospital in Branson. 

8:47 p.m. – Medical: 2-week-old is vomiting and having trouble breathing. South Howell Ambulance and Lick Creek VFD responded.

10:40 p.m. – Warrant arrest in Caulfield. 

10:52 p.m. –  Medical: 66-year-old is having trouble breathing. OCA and Air Evac responded. 

 

Nov. 14

12:37 a.m. – Caller said he is getting weird phone calls from someone asking when he was going to be home. He requests that his house be checked on to make sure no one is there. OCSD responded. Site checks OK.

7:41 a.m. – Prisoner transport: Matt Taber to Fulton State Hospital. 

10:52 a.m. – Medical: man is having grand mal seizure. Tecumseh VFD, OCA responded. 

4:51 p.m. – Medical: 89-year-old male who had a blood transfusion is bleeding, has high blood pressure and is shaking. OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

8:02 p.m. – Caller said her school bag was stolen Nov. 10, including its contents, which includes supplies, a textbook and a flute. Officer instructed caller to come to sheriff’s office with her parents to fill out a statement.  

 

Nov. 15

9:39 a.m. – A compound bow was found on the courthouse lawn. Owner should come to sheriff’s office and identify it, and it will be returned.

12:04 p.m. – Medical: 55-year-old cardiac patient is having trouble breathing. Wasola VFD and OCA responded.

12:42 p.m. – Medical: 54-year-old male has cardiac problem. OMC ambulance responded.

12:59 p.m. – Medical: 911 caller said they need an ambulance and then said nothing else. Dispatcher called BRMC for ambulance, BRMC accepted then canceled. Dispatcher called Cox ambulance, and it is responding. Timber Knob and Pontiac first responders were also toned out. 

1:29 p.m. – Vehicle backed into another vehicle in parking lot of recycling center on County Road 503. Assistance rendered.

1:33 p.m. – Vehicle accident on Highway 5 south near storage units. OCSD rendered assistance.

1:40 p.m. – Caller said a 32-year-old male tore up her house and may have a knife with him. OCSD rendered assistance.

2:39 p.m. – Caller said a strange man is sitting on the side of the road on T Highway close to Highway 5 south. OCSD responded; unfounded.

4:11 p.m. – Caller on PP Highway said she let a couple live with her, and now the male has beaten up the female. OCSD responded; handled by officer.

4:36 p.m. – Medical: 75-year-old female has fallen and has possible broken arm or shoulder. Theodosia Area VFD and OCA responded.

8:53 p.m. – Medical: 66-year-old male is having chest pains. OCA and Dora VFD responded. Patient transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.

 

Nov. 16

7:06 a.m. – Prisoner transport: Jon Latham to Bowling Green and Melvin Campbell to FRDC. 

8:53 a.m. – Medical: Male with chest pains requests ambulance transport. OCA and Pontiac first responders responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

11:49 a.m. – Caller said she lost a light beige wallet in Pontiac. Wanted it on record.

12:26 p.m. – Medical: 92-year-old female is barely breathing. Caney Mountain first responders and OCA responded. Air Evac was called but then was canceled. 

4:00 p.m. – Caller said several items have been taken from his garage on N Highway. OCSD: report was taken.

5:08 p.m. – Well-being/ security check requested at West Ridge Apartments. OCSD rendered assistance.

 

Nov. 17

8:36 a.m. – Caller said a black cow is out on Highway 181 between FF Highway and Zanoni Mill.

8:50 a.m. – Vehicle hit gas pumps at Bullseye next to O’Reilly’s. Owner wants a report.

9:07 a.m. – Medical: 60-year-old female has infection in her body and wants to go back to hospital. Timber Knob VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to OMC. 

11:37 a.m. – Patient transport: Robert Peat Jr. was taken from Douglas County Jail to and from doctor appointment.

2:38 p.m. – Missouri State Highway Patrol has vehicle stopped at Highways 160 and 95 and consent to search has been given. OCSD assisted.

5:32: Caller in Squires reported a missing person who has not been seen since 1 p.m. Entered in MULES. Subject was later located in Stone County.

7:37 p.m. – Caller on County Road 513 has been hearing shooting for more than an hour. OCSD rendered assistance.

9:46 p.m. – Careless and imprudent driver in red Chevy truck reported in Bakersfield. OCSD rendered assistance.

 

Nov. 18

2:13 a.m. – OCSD: traffic stop east of Theodosia Bridge. Assistance rendered.

3:31 a.m. – Caller said intoxicated female and male are fighting in parking lot at Bullseye. OCSD rendered assistance. 

5:09 a.m. – Medical: 67-year-old female has back pain. Patient was transported to BRMC. 

10:22 a.m. – Caller said phone lines are down on Highway 160. Theodosia Area VFD and CenturyTel responded. 

10:36 a.m. – Medical: 83-year-old female has irregular heartbeat. OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC. 

2:56 p.m. – Caller said tree was blocking roadway on Highway 181 near Hodgson Mill. Dora VFD responded but was unable to locate a tree on the roadway or in the ditch.

3:34 p.m. – Medical: 82-year-old male is having difficulty breathing. OCA and Thornfield VFD responded. Air Evac was called but declined due to weather. Patient was transported to BRMC. 

7:21 p.m. – single-vehicle rollover accident on Baxter County (Arkansas) Road 872; unknown injuries. Referred to Baxter County (Arkansas) Sheriff’s Office.

8:16 p.m. – OCSD officer is at Highway D north checking with three individuals. Checked OK.

9:36 p.m. – Caller has received a threat. OCSD officer spoke with caller and another subject by phone.

9:54 p.m. – Caller said car has been sitting on County Road 547 with lights on since dark. OCSD responded. A very bright led light is on at the house where residents have just moved in.

 

Nov. 19

6:03 a.m. – OCSD traffic stop near The Center on Highway 5 north. Assistance rendered.

10:06 a.m. – Medical: 53-year-old diabetic male is lightheaded and feels like he is going to pass out. Wasola VFD and OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC. 

10:45 a.m. – OCSD officer assisted DFS.

5:43 p.m. – North entry alarm is sounding at Gainesville Building Supply. OCSD responded; checked OK.

5:52 p.m. – Caller in Dora said a person had threatened to pull a gun on her. Caller wanted it on record. OCSD rendered assistance.

6:55 p.m. – Caller said her husband will not let her get her items from the residence. OCSD responded; handled by officer.

 

Nov. 20

12:06 a.m. – Mule in road on County Road 806. OCSD officer made contact with owner.

1:42 a.m. – License plate found on County Road 806. No police action.

2:31 a.m. – Residential alarm is sounding on a basement bedroom door. OCSD responded; checked OK.
