Local teams ready for districts

High school basketball district tournament action starts this week, with all four Ozark County schools hitting the hardwood.
In the class 1 district 4 tournament at Rogersville, the Lutie Indians will take on Koshkonong at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The winner of that game will play Verona in the semifinals.
Bakersfield will go up against tournament-host Hurley at 6:30 Saturday evening, with the winner playing Chadwick or Exeter in the second round.
On the girls' side, Lutie will square off against Verona at 12:30 p.m., the winner of which will play either Bakersfield or Hurley who play at 2 p.m.
Next week, the Gainesville Bulldogs kick off the class 2 district 10 tournament at Norwood at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, against the Mansfield Lions. The winner of that game will play the winner of a Norwood/Bradleyville game.
Dora will take on Plato that same day at 7 p.m. Winner of that game will face either Hartville or Fordland in the second round.
For the girls, Gainesville and Dora will square off at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27. The winner will face either Fordland or Bradleyville in the semi-finals.
