Lady Bulldogs beat Fordland

The Gainesville Lady Bulldogs won one and lost one this past week in high school girls' basketball action, beating Fordland and falling to Seymour.

In the game with Fordland on Dec. 6, the Lady Bulldogs pulled off an impressive 30-point win behind the consistent shooting of freshman Madison Strong, who finished with 25 points. Gainesville won 64-34.

Also scoring for Gainesville was freshman Sarah Evans with 12 points. Evans also grabbed 8 rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs.

Gainesville fell to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play after losing to Seymour Monday night at Seymour.

The Lady Tigers were too much for the Gainesville squad, winning 52-40.

Madison Strong led Gainesville in scoring with 19 points, followed by Alyssa Abraham with 10.

Gainesville will host the Bakersfield Lady Lions Thursday night. Game time is 6 p.m.
