Lions baseball squad now 4-4 on the year
The Bakersfield Lions' baseball team is now 4-4 on the year and had a busy schedule the past week, playing five games and winning two of them.
The Lions won both games of a double-header on April 9, clobbering Summersville 16-1 and Lutie 14-4 in six innings.
Bakersfield got stuck in the mud Thursday at Alton, losing 11-4. Then Bakersfield got belted on Friday by Viola 10-1 and lost in a slugfest with the Norwood Pirates Monday night at Bakersfield 14-10.
Bakersfield will compete in the Dora Tournament this weekend, according to coach Jonathan Winslow.
Individual statistics from the games were not provided.
