GJH basketball teams pick up wins

Junior Bulldogs trounce Norwood, Fordland
The junior high Gainesville Bulldogs' basketball team put the defensive pressure on the Norwood Pirates and swamped them 53-25 last Tuesday at Norwood.
Noah Britt poured in 22 points to lead the Bulldog charge. Others scoring for Gainesville included Brandon Poe with 10 points and Treydon Rackley and Brodie Chapman with 6 points each.
"We played really well the whole game," said Gainesville coach Lance West. "Norwood had a hard time handling our ball pressure and we forced a lot of turnovers to get easy baskets."

Noah Britt again led the Bulldogs scoring romp, this time with 14 points. Brandon Poe also chimed in with 13 of his own, followed by Brodie Chapman with 8. Poe led in rebounding with 6, while Britt grabbed 5 boards and Wyatt Wilson pulled down 4.
Girls defeat Seymour
