Missouri early youth deer season to be held Oct. 28-29

Youth deer season

Young hunters ages 6 to 15 across the state will be taking to the woods this weekend as the first session of Missouri's youth deer season is set for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 28-29. Youth hunters are able to harvest one deer of either sex during the early youth portion. If the young hunter has more than one permit, they must use the addiitonal permits during the second session of youth season, Nov. 24-26, or during regular firearms seasons. Only one antlered deer may be taken during the entire firearms season, all portions combined. Only two antlered deer can be taken during the archery and firearms deer hunting seasons combined. Ozark County hunters are able to harvest unlimited numbers of antlerless deer during archery season, and two antlerless deer during firearms season.
