Zanoni news: Jan. 3, 2018

The weather is cold with maybe a little snow one morning.

We hope everyone had a good Christmas with family and friends. We went to Springfield on Christmas Day and had a great dinner with Marsha and Keith Evans and family. The kids had a great time opening their gifts. Casey and Chris were there also. After dinner we went to Casey’s house and opened our gifts.

The turkeys  have been out more lately.  One day there was 12 hens in our backyard, and I have seen some  across. Also had an armadillo in the front yard digging in the dirt. He was hard to run off.

Phil Morrison and his friend were with us in church Sunday. Phil is a new grandpa.

Ray McDaniel had Christmas with his daughter, Kathy, in Mountain Home on Christmas night.

The January Food Pantry will be on Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Paul went in to pay taxes on Wednesday. Before he got finished, there was a line behind him. I had visited with Bill Hambelton in the grocery store, and he said he had been really busy.

On Friday Paul went by and picked up Bob Daniel, and they had lunch at the Ozark Cafe  in West Plains. Bob has been Paul’s dozer mechanic for many years.

We hope everyone survived all the good food at Christmastime, and we wish everyone a good New Year.
