The year’s first high-water event lifted Ozark County streams over many roadways Monday, including Highway 181 at Hodgson Mill, shown in this photo by Joyce Morgan. Many parts of the county reported about an inch and a half of rain Sunday night / Monday morning, but heavier rains north of here were thought to be the main cause of the swollen creeks and rivers that on Monday also temporarily closed Patrick Bridge on H Highway, Bell Bridge on Highway 95 and T Highway at Mammoth, according to Missouri Department of Transportation Dora shed supervisor Shawn Shipley and MoDOT Gainesville shed supervisor Bruce Bales.
