Times graphic designers take home statewide awards for ads, cover design

The Ozark County Times recently won three awards in the Missouri Press Association’s statewide Best Ad contest. Ad designer Regina Mozingo, right, took home second place in the best ad smaller than a quarter-page with her design for an ad for the Ozark County Treasure Festival. Mozingo also won fourth place in the category of best ad smaller than a full page but no smaller than a quarter page, with an election ad for Rep. Travis Smith, titled “Wanted: Uncle Sam.” Page designer Jessi Dreckman took third place in best cover design of a special section with the 2020 Hootin an Hollarin Magazine scrapbook. The Times was judged in the medium-sized weekly newspaper class, which includes publications with 2,001 to 5,000 subscribers. The Times currently has 3,000 subscribers.
