SHERIFF’S REPORT June 25 - June 29

June 25
10:51 a.m. – Electrical transformer blew near Second and Main streets in Gainesville. Gainesville VFD  responded.
12:57 p.m. – Semi-truck is in roadway on the Spring Creek Bridge. Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched but then was canceled when truck got started.
2:14 p.m. – Semi-truck has jack-knifed in the roadway on County Road 806 by Ozark Vinyl. OCSD and Gainesville VFD responded.
4:45 p.m.  – Reporting party says a little boy is setting bales of hay on fire on Highway 181 two miles north of Dora. Dora VFD and OCSD responded. Officer spoke with all parties. Landowner does not want to press charges at this time and will work this out with the child’s father in the form of payment. Location was just inside Douglas County, which dispatch didn’t know at the time of the call. Officer spoke with Douglas County officer.
7:05 p.m.  – Customer broke glass door as he was leaving Evans Quick Stop. Officer spoke with suspect, who agreed to pay for the damage.
8:14 p.m. – Possible domestic disturbance between Town & Country Supermarket and Bullseye store in Gainesville. OCSD rendered assistance.

June 26
2:28 a.m. – Door isn’t closed all the way, cash register is open and no one is in the building of Big Bob’s Tackle shop. OCSD rendered assistance.
5:58 a.m. – Medical: Female has chest pains. Ozark County Ambulance responded. Patient was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
10:59 a.m. – OCSD received several 911 hang-up calls from a 911-only phone. Called the owner on a working phone, and he stated nothing was wrong. Kids were playing with the phone. OCSD rendered assistance.
12:15 p.m. – Medical: 80-year-old female is breathing but unresponsive. OCSD rendered assistance. Timber Knob VFD and Air Evac responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.
6:05 p.m.  – Medical: 38-year-old male has left-arm pain. OCA, Theodosia Area VFD responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.
6:24 p.m.  – Highway obstruction reported: Tree is down halfway across the road on O Highway north. OCSD contacted Theodosia Area VFD and MoDOT.
6:39 p.m. – Power line is down, causing fire on County Road 628. Pontiac VFD and White River Valley Electric Co-op responded.
6:58 p.m. – Funnel cloud spotted in southeast Ozark County near Udall. OCSD contacted Bakersfield VFD to set off tornado siren.

June 27
12:57 a.m. – Caller hit deer on Highway 5 south 2 miles south of T Highway in a Nissan Armata, incurring front-end damage.
11:00 a.m. – Medical: 83-year-old female. OCA and Caney Mountain VFD responded.
5:34 p.m. – Medical: 33-year-old female has large gash on her hand. OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.
7:04 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested on County Road 803C. Checked OK.
8:25 p.m. – Medical: 71-year-old male with back pain, possible urinary track infection, and has trouble breathing. OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.
10:05 p.m. – Medical: 63-year-old male has fallen in the floor and is unable to move his legs. OCA and Pontiac VFD responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.
10:39 p.m. – Caller hit deer with her 2012 Jeep Liberty on Highway 5 north. Needed it on record.
11:57 p.m – Caller said a white cow with yellow ear tag is on Highway 160 in front of Cloud 9 Ranch. Caulfield VFD responded for traffic control; OCSD attempted to locate owner.

June 28
8:02 a.m. – Prisoner transport: Brandon Patterson to DOC Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center.
9:27 a.m. – Caller reported a bright yellow truck with four teenagers in back east of Gainesville on Highway 160. MSHP rendered assistance.
10:15 a.m. – Dump truck is blocking lane on Highway 5 north by Antler. Looks like it is going to be towed. Handled by officer; truck is being pulled off onto parking lot.
1:28 p.m. – Caller said someone stole the outside air conditioning unit by the old store on N Highway next to the seed bank. Not sure when it was stolen. Wanted it on record.
5:35 p.m. – Caller believes family members are stealing meds in Tecumseh. OCSD rendered assistance: advised reporting party to fill out statement to press charges.

June 29
2:13 a.m. – A young child, in diapers, is alone at Bullseye with no parents around. OCSD rendered assistance. Child Services was called. Parents were located at 5:20.
