Pavement, maintenance work will reduce two area roadways to one lane

Highway 160 in Ozark and Taney Counties will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform a resurfacing project beginning Monday, Aug. 20, at Highway 5 in Ozark County and continuing westward to Highway 125 in Taney County.

Guardrail upgrades and preliminary work zone signing installations are already underway, Missouri Department of Transportation resident engineer Audie Pulliam told the Times last week. Weather permitting, work will be performed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, including weekends as necessary. Traffic will be guided through the work zone with the use of a pilot car. The work zone will be marked with signs, and motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

Also, T Highway is reduced to one lane this week as MoDOT crews perform maintenance on the bridge over Little Creek, between County Roads 512 and 516. A MoDOT news release said work will continue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and should conclude by Thursday.
