No. 1 shotgun team

Jacob Penrod, fourth from left, grandson of Velma Strong of Gainesville and the late Dick Strong, is a member of Missouri’s four-man shotgun team that recently won first place in the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championship Tournament in Grand Island, Nebraska. The team, which also includes, from left, Nolan Suthoff, Kellen Smith, coach Keith DeBrot, Jacob Penrod and Pierce Ford, is shown with the grand prize trophy, which represents the top score of nine combined shooting events for the nation. Missouri was one of 37 states represented. Jacob, a senior at Branson High School, is the son of Don and Becky Penrod. He represented Taney County.
