Lions Club’s auction is this Friday at GHS
Plans are underway for the Gainesville Lions Club’s 32nd annual auction and sportsman raffle to be held Friday night, April 12, at Gainesville High School. This year’s raffle, held in conjunction with the auction, includes 14 firearms, a gun safe, a kayak, a utility trailer, flying drone and other items.
Tickets for the raffle are $50 each, and only 300 will be sold. Multiple winners’ names will be drawn throughout the live-auction event April 12, with each winner getting to select from the remaining items. Raffle tickets may be purchased at any Century Bank of the Ozarks location or from Gainesville Lions Club members.
The April 12 event begins with dinner at 6 p.m. and a silent auction at 6:15 p.m., followed by the main auction at 7 p.m. A $1 ticket donation includes a chili dinner, including cinnamon rolls and other baked items, and entry into several free drawings.
The live auction will include new items and services such as a Kansas City Chiefs helmet autographed by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, autographed baseballs, a bicycle, lawn-and-garden implements, power tools, clothing, baked goods, dining and shopping gift cards, pontoon boat trips, art and novelty items, plus auto needs and food items. All items are donated by local businesses and private donors.
Proceeds from the auction and raffle will benefit the summer ball program, scholarships and other Lions Club projects.
