Hoops for Heart
These Gainesville Elementary School students in grades 4, 5 and 6 recently participated in Hoops For Heart, a national program jointly sponsored by SHAPE America (Society of Health and Physical Educators) and the American Heart Association. The hoops event promotes physical activity, heart healthy living and community service. GES students who signed up and participated raised approximately $1,100 for the American Heart Association. Organizers expressed thanks to the students, parents and the Gainesville community for supporting the worthy cause.
