Four injury accidents occur here in July

Four injury accidents have occurred in Ozark County so far this month, as reported on the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s online crash report website.
Two people were injured Friday, July 13, when a Dodge pickup backed into a Ford 500 on Highway 160 one mile east of Hardenville. According to the MSHP report, Jackie Williams, 54, of Tecumseh was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup that backed into the 2005 Ford 500 driven by Cassandra Springer, 20, of Alton.
Springer, suffering moderate injuries, was taking by Ozark County Ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Madison Metroz, 16, of Cabool, a passenger in Springer’s vehicle who suffered minor injuires, was taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains by private vehicle. Metroz was wearing a seat belt, according to the report; Springer was not. The Ford was towed from the scene. The Dodge pickup was driven away; Williams, its driver, was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
On Thursday, July 12, 17-year-old Jacob Arnold of Pevely, Missouri, suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident that occurred on KK Highway seven miles south of Dora. Arnold was taken to Ozarks Medical Center by private vehicle. According to the MSHP online report, the crash occurred when the 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Arnold was driving, “ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, began skidding, ran off the right side of the roadway again and impacted the ground causing the vehicle to overturn,” according to the report. Arnold was wearing a seat belt, the report said.
Another single-vehicle injury accident occurred on Wednesday, July 11, on Highway 160 six miles east of Gainesville when a 2008 Ford 150 pickup traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a tree, according to the MSHP report. The driver, Brady Jones, 16, suffered minor injuries and was taken by personal vehicle to Ozarks Medical Center, according to the report, which also said Jones was wearing a seat belt.
On Tuesday, July 3, two people were flown by Air Evac to Cox South Hospital in Springfield after the utility task vehicle they were riding in at Cloud 9 Ranch west of Caulfield traveled off the right side of a private roadway, struck an embankment and overturned, according to the MSHP report. The injured were Dylan McQuay, 17, of Marilyn Heights, Missouri, the driver of the UTV, and Kaylin Henninger, 22, of Clayton, Illinois. McQuay was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report, which said it was unknown whether Henninger was wearing one.
