Fatal crash claims life of 37-year-old Tecumseh resident

Antonio A. Aguilar, 37, of Tecumseh, died Friday, June 5, as the result of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 160 four miles east of Gainesville. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report, Aguilar was driving a black Chevrolet Blazer westbound when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, returned to the road and then crossed the center before running off the left side of the highway, impacting a driveway, becoming airborne and overturning. Aguilar was transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, where he was pronounced deceased by Dr. Corby Pogue. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP report. The vehicle, which was totaled, was towed from the scene by Ron’s Recovery Service. This was the 10th fatality in MSHP’s Troop G area compared with nine fatalities at this time last year. The crash was investigated by MSHP Trooper D. L. Nash.
