Eight cases heard during Aug. 27 OC law day

Circuit Judge Craig Carter processed a total of eight cases during the Aug. 27 session of Ozark County Law Day. Updates are listed here.

 

Scheduled for Oct. 7

Allen W. Luebbert, charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of assault, was arraigned. He is scheduled to return Oct. 7 for a plea hearing or trial setting. 

 

Scheduled for Dec. 9

Anthony W. Fletcher, who pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property in March, appeared for a case review. Another case review was scheduled for Dec. 9. 

 

Discharged from probation

Misty L. Gant, who pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and driving while intoxicated (persistent offender), appeared for a probation-status hearing. She was discharged from probation. The case is complete. 

 

No publicly viewable updates

At press time Tuesday, no updates had been posted for these cases, which were also processed during the Aug. 27 Law Day:

Justin Patrick Bell, charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, was scheduled for a plea hearing or trial setting.

Christopher Scott Davis, who pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance in April 2019, was scheduled to appear for a probation-violation hearing. 

Latasha Benton, who pleaded guilty to property damage in July 2017, was scheduled to appear for a probation status hearing. 

Brian Edward Mottus, who pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance in June 2019, was scheduled to appear for a probation violation hearing.

Angela K. Plemmons, who was found not guilty by reason of insanity in connection with the 2012 stabbing death of Theodosia resident Fred Wiggins, was scheduled to appear for a hearing.
