Dora junior Cassidy Hambelton honored for 1,500-point milestone

Dora Lady Falcon basketball player Cassidy “Noodle” Hambelton  hit her 1,500th point on Jan. 11 during a home game against Couch and was honored  Monday, Jan. 18, when coach Cole Garnette and fellow teammates presented her with a commemorative ball.

“Cassidy is a special player,” Garnette said. “She is a fierce competitor and loyal teammate. She is a game changer on offense and has worked so hard at getting her teammates involved and playing defense this year. It is a special accomplishment to hit a milestone like 1,500 points in your career. A lot of seniors are hitting their 1,000 point milestone just after Christmas break this season, and for Cassidy to be hitting 1,500 in her junior year is a huge accomplishment. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and coach, and I’m so proud of her for reaching this milestone and hopefully look forward to seeing her continue moving her career forward.”
