1,000 points

Gainesville High School senior Elizabeth Kinworthy was honored Saturday, Feb. 13, during the Lady Bulldogs’ home game against Fordland for scoring 1,000 points in her high school career. She is shown with GHS head coach Lance West, who presented her with a photo collage by Karla Smith and a commemorative basketball. The Lady Bulldogs added another conference win to their record and brought their season record to 13-9 with a 68-22 win over the Fordland Lady Eagles. The Gainesville girls have two more home games on their schedule. They host Conway Thursday, Feb. 18, and Koshkonong on Friday, Feb, 19. After that, the girls head to the Class 2 District 10 tournament Feb. 20-25 at Norwood High School. The Lady Bulldogs are seeded first, and on Wednesday, Feb. 23, will take on the winner of the first-round Feb. 20 game between fourth-seed Bakersfield and fifth-seed Summersville. Dora, seeded second, will face the winner of the first-round Feb. 20 game between third-seed Seymour and sixth-seed Norwood.
