Gainesville Lady Bulldogs softball team building up to fall

The Gainesville Lady Bulldog’s spring season record stands at 1-10.
“We use the spring season to prepare for next year’s fall season since we do not have districts in the spring,” said Lady Bulldog coach Cody Swearengin.
“With that being said, I do not see the spring season as a time to not take seriously. We have a lot of girls playing in different positions. We’re incorporating our younger pitchers so that they can gain experience for fall. I know that our record is not the best, but I do feel that every situation we are faced with will make us better for the upcoming year.”
The Lady Bulldogs have one more game this season. The varsity team will host Fordland Thursday, April 19.
“I’m proud of the hard work the girls have put in so far this season,” Swearengin said. “They continue to work hard to get better. Please come out and support them at our last game on Thursday.”
