The Gainesville Bulldogs traveling baseball team competed in the Barnhouse Baseball 2018 Summer Heat Showdown Saturday in Springfield and took first place after winning three games. Scores from the games were 16-1, 12-4 and 18-3. Members of the team are, from left (back row), Howard Wade, Khale Mendel, Chase Luna, Connor Wages, Hayden Evans; (front row) Denton Hambelton, Zachary Evans, Corbin West, Jaxon Headrick and Grant Frye. The team is coached by Todd Luna.
