Turkey hunters can apply Feb. 1-28 for managed hunts, including at Caney Mountain

Missouri youth, archery and firearms turkey hunters can apply online Feb. 1-28 on the Missouri Department of Conservation website, mdc.mo.gov/springturkeyhunts, for 2018 spring turkey managed hunts, including those at Caney Mountain Conservation Area in Ozark County. Managed-hunt details and application procedures are outlined on the web page. Drawing results will be posted starting March 12.

Spring turkey hunting youth weekend will be April 7-8 with the regular spring season running April 16-May 6. Detailed information on spring turkey hunting will be available in MDC’s “2018 Spring Turkey Hunting Regulations and Information” booklet, available where permits are sold beginning in February. 

Missouri hunting permits may be purchased at vendors around the state, online at mdc.mo.gov/buypermits, or through the MDC free mobile app (MO Hunting).
