The Ozark County Commissioners last week declared April as “Clean Up Trash” month in Ozark County, but the youth of Frontier Baptist Church in Pontiac didn’t wait for the first day of April to put the proclamation into action. Young participants from the church worked Saturday picking up trash along a section of W Highway the church “adopted” for litter control several years ago. The commissioners said Monday at their weekly meeting that a 30-yard dumpster donated for the clean-up project by WCA Waste Corporation has been delivered to the county’s recycling center on County Road 513 at Lilly Ridge. It will be available for roadside and streamside trash disposal during the recycling center’s operating hours: 7 a.m. to 3:30 pm. Monday-Friday. Offi-cials say those bringing trash to the dumpster should not throw items over the fence when the recycling center is closed.
