Blessing of Fleet, other events set for April 28 at Pontiac Cove

The 13th annual Blessing of the Fleet will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Pontiac Cove Marina in Pontiac. The day will begin with a lake, park and highway clean-up sponsored by the marina from 9 a.m. to noon. The marina will provide trash bags and gloves to anyone who participates, and a free lunch will be served afterward.
After boaters can have their boat blessed for the season at 2 p.m. A July 4th fireworks fundraiser fish fry will be held at nearby Lake Bums Brew Co. with live  music starting at 4 p.m. and food served at 5 p.m. for $10 per plate. Souvenir T-shirts will be available for purchase as another part of the fundraiser.
