A quilt of shirt pieces
When handed a stack of the late Donnie Lowe’s plaid shirts, Dora resident Donna Lemons knew she could create a quilt for his family. But as it turned out, with skill and creativity she was able to make those shirts into four keepsakes that wrap his children and grandchildren in love. The quilt shown here is included in the current display of colorful quilted creations now on display at the Ozark County Historium in an exhibit that also features the handwork of Donna’s sister Martha Martin, also of Dora. The exhibit is free and open to everyone. The Historium is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays. For more information, call the Historium at 417-679-2400.
