Lions Club asks residents to nominate 2018 Citizen of the Year
The Gainesville Lions Club is accepting nominations for this year’s Barney Douglas Citizen of the Year award, to be presented to an Ozark County resident who has made a difference in our community. The citizen of the year will be recognized at Hootin an Hollarin.
Nominations can be made by emailing Lions Club president-elect Taler Nash at firstname.lastname@example.org or mailing nominations to Century Bank of the Ozarks, attention Taler Nash, P.O. Box 68, Gainesville, MO 65655. Nominations should be a short, one-page informal letter giving the nominee’s name and the reason for the nomination. Nominations must be submitted by July 31 to be considered.
The Lions Club is a civic organization that helps with Hootin an Hollarin and raises money for the summer ball program, local scholarships and other community efforts.
