Hunter education skills session set for Saturday, Nov. 3 at GHS

A Missouri Department of Conservation hunter education skills session class will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Gainesville High School library.

Participants must be at least 11 years old on or before the date of the class. They must register online by going to mdc.mo.gov and following links to Hunter Education, Skills Session, select this class, and register.

Those planning to attend the class must complete the “classroom” portion on their own ahead of time and bring proof of completion when they come to the Nov. 3 skills session. This can be done by getting a student manual, completing all of the chapter review questions and then bringing the completed manual to the skills session – or by completing the classroom portion online and printing out the certification of completion and bringing it to the skills session.

The online option costs $15 to print out the certificate of completion, which must be paid by credit card. The student manual option is free.
