Easter egg hunts planned around area

Saturday, April 13

The Junior Auxiliary Easter egg hunt is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Cooper Park in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The event will begin at 11 a.m. sharp, so those attending are encouraged to arrive early. A spring carnival will be held at the youth center immediately following the Easter egg hunt. The event is free for children of all ages. In case of rain, the egg hunt will be postponed to Saturday, April 20. 

 

Friday, April 19

Carl Wayne’s Bunny Trail on Ninth Street in Mountain Home will host a Bunny Trail event from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 19. Children can collect eggs along the Bunny Trail, and HB Photography will be on site taking photos. Attendees can receive a free 4-by-6-inch photo of their children taken at the event. 

 

Saturday, April 20

First Christian Church hosts its annual community Easter egg hunt for toddlers through fifth grade at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20. Egg hunters should bring a basket, and parents are encouraged to bring a camera as the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance. The hunt will be held on the church grounds on Highway 160 across from Hoerman Memorial Park in Gainesville.

 

VFW Post 5366 in Isabella will host an Easter egg hunt for children ages 1 to 12 on Saturday, April 20. Sign-up begins at 9 a.m. for a drawing for three bicycles in three different age groups. The VFW is on HH Highway about 500 feet south of Highway 160 in Isabella. For more information, call 273-5008.

 

A Pontiac Easter egg hunt will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at Pontiac park off W Highway. Everyone is invited. Those who plan to attend are asked to provide 15 filled plastic eggs per child attending to organizer Jabet Wade at Pontiac Cove Marina before April 20. Wade says they will be hiding extra eggs that morning, so parents who aren’t able to provide filled eggs beforehand are encouraged to still bring their children. Muffins and juice will be provided, and the Easter Bunny will make an appearance. For more information, call Wade at 679-3676. 

 

Annual Community Easter Egg hunt at RiverLodge Assisted Living in Mountain Home will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at the facility at 117 RiverLodge Drive in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Refreshments and prizes will follow the egg hunt. For more information call RiverLodge at 870-607-0902.

 

Hope Church in Mountain Home is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza at 750 Green Valley Drive across from Baxter Healthcare off Highway 201 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20. The event will feature an gg hunt with 25,000 eggs, carnival games, a bounce house, toys and prizes, face painters and food vendors plus prizes and toys. The event is free, and everyone is welcome.

 

Sunday, April 21

Rockbridge Rainbow Trout Ranch is hosting an Easter egg hunt at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at the resort off N Highway north of Gainesville. All ages are welcome to join in the fun.
