Trial rescheduled for woman charged with shooting daughter-in-law
Angaline Ryan, 60, of West Plains was scheduled to face a Texas County jury Dec. 11-15; however, Ryan’s trial was canceled after a motion for continuance was filed by Howell County Prosecutor Michael P. Hutchings on Nov. 28. The case is now scheduled for a hearing at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12. It’s expected that a new trial date will be reset in the case at some point.
Ryan, an Ozark County landowner, is charged with first-degree assault, serious physical injury and armed criminal action in connection with allegations of a April 13, 2015, ambush-style shooting of Tammy Hathcock, her daughter-in-law, in the midst of what court records describe as “a bitter divorce” between Tammy Hathcock and Ryan’s son, Jeremy Hathcock. The incident occurred near South Fork, in Howell County.
