Sheriff's report: Sept. 10-17, 2018

Sept. 10

11:02 a.m. – Someone disarmed the alarm on the foyer doors at First Christian Church but would not say anything. Keyholder wants an officer to respond. Handled by officer. Call canceled per alarm company. 

11:16 a.m. – Medical: Male has chest pains. Ozark County Ambulance responded. Patient transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.

1:43 p.m. – Medical: A man cut his arm with a chainsaw. OCA and Theodosia Area VFD responded. Air Evac was called but then was canceled as it is not medically necessary.

2:12 p.m. – OCSD aided another agency at Isabella Laundry Mat. 

2:38 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested on subject at Indian Oaks.  Checked OK.

4:02 p.m. – Reporting party at Dollar General says a customer purchased two rugs from the store, and after leaving the store, the customer said the rugs were then stolen from her cart while she was outside. Customer became irate with management then slammed the cart into the side of the building, causing the cart to fall over on its side. Customer was belligerent with management. OCSD responded. Customer was gone upon officer arrival. Management wanted it on record.

4:18 p.m. – Reporting party says a man wearing a pink women’s dress is walking in the middle of the road on Highway 5 south near Poe Feed Store. He is trying to hitchhike and reporting party is afraid he will get hit by vehicle. Referred to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

6:17 p.m. – Juvenile situation reported by Depart-ment of Family Services. OCSD responded. 

9:30 p.m. – Reporting party on N Highway says her friend received a message from her neighbor stating a man that has been harassing her was in her driveway. Reporting party says she then had a vehicle pull into her own driveway and turn off its light, but she does not know where the subject now.

11 p.m. – Repo agent says a subject is threatening repo workers on Cole Lane. Handled by OCSD officer.

 

 

Sept. 11

12:20 a.m. – Highway obstruction: dead deer is in middle of J Highway near Lick Creek VFD. OCSD responded; unable to locate.

7:27 a.m. – Caller reported  the theft of one round pink and one red gas can full of gas. They are 5-gallon cans. Wanted it on record in case found.

7:35 a.m. – Caller said a bluish-gray Toyota truck is sitting in the middle of FF Highway with a person sitting inside the pickup. Caller said driver does this about once per week. OCSD responded. Checked both FF/181 intersections and subject was not there.

12:06 p.m. – Caller said a kid was playing in the middle of County Road 142 yesterday.

1:22 p.m. -– Caller said a white Dodge pickup is off the road in an accident two miles down Z Highway from Highway 5, and a road sign is knocked over but fence is till up. MSHP rendered assistance.

2:17 p.m. – Donkey reported out on County Road 354. Officer left a note in case they needed to call the sheriff’s office.

4:22 p.m. – Caller said a gray Ford truck is throwing out beer cans on County Rpad 158. OCSD rendered assistance.

4:41 p.m. – Caller said a vehicle pulling another vehicle has broken down in middle of the Highway on the Tecumseh curves. OCSD and Tecumseh VFD responded. MSHP was called but then was canceled.

5:59 p.m. – Medical: 81-year-old femal is having a possible stroke. OCA and Theodosia Area VFD responded. Patient was transported to OMC.

6:15 p.m. – OCSD aided DFS in Bakersfield. 

8:13 p.m. – Warrant arrest at Bullseye: Charles Berger.

9:48 p.m. – Reporting party’s daughter is in middle of the road saying a man is there. OCSD responded. 

 

Sept. 12

12:50 a.m. – Vehicle stop on Highway 160 east near Nash storage building. Subject arrested. OCA was requested to do blood draw at OCSD.

1:02 p.m. – Calling party wants an 80-year-old male out of the house. The person had busted up the house real good. Handled by OCSD officer.

1:08 p.m. – Medical: 27-year-old female has abdominal pain. OCA and Timber Knob VFD responded. Patient was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

4:57 p.m. – OCSD aided DFS on Highway 5

6:14 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested on County Road 623. Handled by officer; no one was home.

6:45 p.m. – Reporting party found needles in her yard on Evelynn Lane. Handled by OCSD officer.

8:25 p.m. – Hay barn on fire on Daisy Lane. Dora VFD responded with Tecumseh VFD in mutual aid.

11:02 p.m. – Security alarm activated on First Street. OCSD rendered assistance. Keyholder is responding.

11:59 p.m. – Medical: 95-year-old female has no pulse in foot. OCA responded; patient was transported to BRMC.

 

Sept. 13

10:56 a.m. – Forgery report taken on incident at Bullseye by Subway.

1:40 p.m. – Caller said someone was siphoning gas at H&W Auto. Caller called back and said the vehicle in the camera may be at the body shop that is next to Chaney Monument. OCSD responded; not the vehicle.

2:38 p.m. – Medical: male is having seizures. OCA and Gainesville VFD responded. 

2:41 p.m. – Burglary reported on Highway 160. House has been broken into. Report taken.

2:50 p.m. – Student received a text from another student that they were cutting their leg. Handled by OCSD officer.

3:18 p.m. – Vehicle is being repossessed on County Road 619. OCSD rendered assistance.

3:28 p.m. – Medical: male subject is having a hard time seeing and is dizzy. OCA responded.

7:03 p.m. – 96-hour mental evaluation arranged for a subject at OMC.

8:01 p.m. – Medical: 59-year-old male is having trouble breathing. OCA, Theodosia Area VFD and Air Evac responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

9:17 p.m. – Reporting party at Dollar General said they have someone on camera stealing. OCSD rendered assistance.

 

Sept. 14

10:41 a.m. – Missing person reported from W Highway. He was entered in the MULES and NCIC systems as missing. Then Onstar located his truck at an address in Nicelake Township, Minnesota. Per-son was found at Minnesota friend’s home.

1:08 p.m. – Medical: 72-year-old male has severe pain, possible kidney stone. Brixey-Rockbridge VFD and OCA responded.

1:31 p.m. – Well-being / security check requested on 74-year-old male. OCSD responded. Checked OK. Subject will contact reporting party.

3:18 p.m. – Prisoner transport – Greene County Jail: Justin William Willhite.

6:06 p.m. – Medical: 48-year-old female has chest pain; had afib a couple of days ago. OCA and Caulfield VFD responded. Patient was transported to landing zone. 

10:21 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle: a maroon truck is parked in roadway at Highway MM and County Road 806. MSHP rendered assistance.

11:32 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle parked in roadway at County Raods 806 and 805. OCSD rendered assistance.

 

Sept. 15

12:59 a.m. – Vehicle is on fire in middle of Highway 5 south. No one is in vehicle. Gainesville VFD and Ron’s Towing responded. Subjects were transported back to residence.

2:40 a.m. – Well-being / security check on 18-month-old. OCSD rendered assistance. 

5:20 a.m. – Traffic stop on Highway 160 by Church of Christ. OCSD rendered assistance.

1:51 p.m. – Theft investigation in Theodosia. Subject arrested.

1:59 p.m. – Medical: 43-year-old female has ingested bleach voluntarily. OCA responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

4:37 p.m. – Suspicious incident: subject is bringing drugs up to her mother in Gainesville. OCSD rendered assistance; reported party filled out statement, wanting it on record.

5:24 p.m. – Medical: 68-year-old male having possible heart attack. OCA, Gainesville VFD and Air Evac responded. Patient was transported to OMC.

6:09 p.m. – OCSD aided DFS. 

9:26 p.m. – Reporting party can smell smoke in Bakersfield. OCSD responded; checked OK.

 

Sept. 16

12:41 a.m. – OCSD assisted MSHP on Highway 5 north.

1:50 a.m. – OCSD assisted MSHP at Bullseye. 

3:25 a.m. – Medical: 78-year-old male has possible broken hip. OCA responded. Patient transported to BRMC.

4:39 a.m. – Reporting party said people are harassing him and throwing rocks at his house on County Road 806. Handled by OCSD officer.

5:00 a.m. – Traffic stop on Highway 160 near Church of Christ. OCSD rendered assistance.

6:08 a.m. – Traffic stop on County Road 806. OCSD rendered assistance.

2:14 p.m. – Medical: 34-year-old female is having possible miscarriage. OCA and Gainesville VFD responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

 

Sept. 17 

1:36 a.m. – OCSD assisted MSHP at Highways 160 and 5.

5:36 a.m. – Stranded motorist on Highway 160 near bridge. OCSD rendered assistance. Vehicle was left on road until later.

5:47 and 5:51 a.m. – Medical: 19-year-old female has unknown medical situation, is possibly on drugs or medication. OCA and OCSD responded. Subject arrested.
