Zanoni news: Jan. 24, 2018

Last week we had snow, ice and above and below zero temperatures. This Sunday, everything had melted, and I think we have had 60 degrees and above for two days. We now have a little rain coming down and of course all the mud.

One day during the snow there were eight deer across the road eating where Paul had fed the cattle. Some of the cows can now eat grass and don’t have to have a bale of hay.

Paul went to Ava and visited with James and Karen DeGase. James used to haul cattle for Paul.

After church Sunday, Paul and I went to Subway to eat, and Leroy and Norma Morrison joined us.

Freda Coy called to tell us her dad, Doin Coy, had passed away. He was first cousin to me and Leroy and had lived in Washington a long time.

Our sympathy and prayers are with the Gott, DeGase, Daniel and Coy families on the loss of loved ones.

We hope everyone has a better week and no more need for long-handles to keep warm.
