Sheriff's report: Sept. 3-10, 2018

Sept. 3

(Continued from last week’s Times.)

10:57 a.m. – Caller on County Road 511 said a freezer and refrigerator in another house had been turned over and contents were spilled out. Handled by OCSD officer.

11:53 a.m. – Caller from Dollar General said an elderly person is incoherent. Handled by OCSD officer. Someone showed up to take the elderly person home.

3:12 p.m. – Vehicle accident: Caller said a silver mini-van has gone off the roadway and hit a tree on P Highway in front of Dugginsville Church. Ozark County Ambulance and Theodosia Area VFD were paged, but a female called  and said her son was helping the owner of the vehicle try to get it out of the ditch. Driver said the accident had occurred the night before and there were no injuries.

3:28 p.m. – Medical: female in her 90s is having chest pain, increased blood pressure and respirations. OCA responded. Patient was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

4:33 p.m. – Shoplifting at Dollar General. Officer spoke with store manager.

7:14 p.m. – Caller at Airport Trailer Park is missing two male overweight cats. One is a gray Russian; the other is black-and-white tortoise shell. Both are fixed and have had shots. They’ve been missing for 24 hours. Caller wants it on record in case someone finds them.

10:00 p.m. – Caller reported a stolen gun. OCSD took report.

10:15 p.m. – Caller on HH Highway said he was assaulted by a subject who also attempted to assault his wife. OCSD rendered assistance.

11:47 p.m. – Barricaded subject on County Road 635. OCSD and Missouri State Highway Patrol officers responded. Subject was not at specified residence. In route to a site near Spring Creek Bridge. 

 

Sept. 4

7:30 a.m. – Prisoner transport: Tylor Rynard, Douglas County Sherriff’s Office.

1:17 p.m. – Reporting party is on Spring Creek Bridge in his car, and it’s out of gas. A fire department volunteer showed up with gas and caller is back in running order again.

5:33 and 5:36 p.m.  – Two-vehicle accident on Highway 5 south at W Highway. Maroon truck vs brown Ford F250. Unknown injuries. OCA and Timber Knob VFD responded. Patient was transported to BRMC.

6:16 p.m. – Suspicious person reported at Spring Creek boat ramp: woman wearing black hat and jeans with two kayaks and an aluminum boat. MSHP arrested subject on warrant out of St. Clair County.

7:59 p.m. – Caller said a subject in a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 green/tan extended-cab truck on County Road 842 is making threats. Handled by OCSD officer.

9:03 p.m. – Medical: Female in kayak upstream a couple of hundreds yards is bleeding from mouth. OCA, Dora VFD and MSHP responded. Patient was transported to Ozarks Medi-cal Center in West Plains.

 

Sept. 5

5:54 a.m. – Medical: 94-year-old female has feeding tube issues. OCA responded. Patient was transported to OMC.

6:44 a.m. – Long-horned bovine in roadway at County Roads 119 and 122. OCSD contacted potential animal owner. Subject called back and said this was not his bovine and that it has been placed in another bovine owner’s field in case owner calls. 

11:28 a.m. – Assault reported on Cloverdale Circle. OCSD officer talked to caller on phone.

12:08 p.m. – Fulton County, Arkansas, reported a black Chevy S10 going fast on Arkansas Highway 87 that may have come to Bakersfield. OCSD rendered assistance.

3:27 and 3:36 p.m. – Two-vehicle accident on Highway 181 before high school. MSHP and Caney Mountain VFD responded.

5:46 p.m. – Warrant arrest and prisoner transport: Samantha Rodak-Triboulet and Eric Holden. Harrison, Arkansas, Police Department. 

6:26 p.m. – Caller at local store said a female was at the store who has been told not to return. Handled by OCSD officer.

10:43 p.m. – Medical: 86-year-old male has high temperature. OCA responded. Patient transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

 

Sept. 6

7:56 a.m. – Prisoner transport to Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center: Tylor Rynard from Ozark County and Jason Hesterlee from Douglas County, and picking up Stephen Shaw on writ.

10:15 a.m. – Person came in front door of sheriff’s office and assaulted the jailer. Report taken.

10:44 a.m. – Subject arrested in Wasola.

11:55 a.m. – Caller said packages from post office were stolen last Friday. Wanted it on record.

12:12 and 12:13 p.m. – Fraud report taken on County Road 545.

2:38 p.m. – Brush fire on Rogers Avenue. Tecumseh VFD responded.

2:50 p.m. – A utility pole is down on County Road 865 after being hit by a vehicle. MSHP rendered assistance.

2:57 p.m. – Utility pole hit by car is on fire. Theodosia Area VFD responded.

5:42 p.m. – Reporting party on Highway 160 said her son has been drinking and is yelling and doing damage to her home. Handled by OCSD officer.

7:51 p.m. – Caller said a white truck has been parked at Town & Country Supermarket for four days. OCSD rendered assistance.

10:20 p.m. – Caller said a man is living in a small white building on the square, and no one should be staying there overnight per the mayor. OCSD rendered assistance.

11:31 p.m. – Jesse L. Miller, arrested on a Howell County Warrant, was transported to the county line to meet Howell County authorities. 

 

Sept. 7

12:27 a.m. – Traffic stop, Highway 5 south and 160. OCSD rendered assistance.

2:12 a.m. – Reporting party said he got a call from a neighbor saying it looked like someone might be at his brother’s across from Highway 95, stealing a white Dodge with a beat-up fender and no tags sitting at the house. OCSD rendered assistance: subjects say they ran out of gas.

8:00 – Prisoner transport: St. Louis Metro. John Snelson has been found competent to stand trial. Also stopping to get Alexander Everhart in Douglas County. 

12:42 p.m. – Prisoner transport to Gainesville Medical Clinic.

5:30 p.m. – Caller said two men came out of the woods and shot an arrow at his neighbor. OCSD rendered assistance.

 

Sept. 8

9:17 a.m. – Reporting party says he witnessed a male subject beating up a female subject at his house. He was unable to provide last names of subjects. He says they live in Arkansas but does not know the address. Reporting party says female was afraid to call and make report. OCSD dispatch advised Baxter County, Arkansas, of the situation. Subjects have left the residence and are in route back to Arkansas. Report was put on record in case female wants to press charges. Awaiting contact from third party to verify circumstances to attempt well-being check on female.

9:36 a.m. – Full order notice of hearing served to all parties involved in a case. 

5:53 p.m. – Caller on Vacation Lane said an elderly female was walking her dog and has fallen. Caller is unsure where she lives. OCSD rendered assistance.

9:17 p.m. – Medical: 50-year-old male injured in ATV accident is breathing but unresponsive. OCA responded; patient was taken to medical facility in private vehicle.

 

Sept. 9

1:46 a.m. – Security alarm activated. No updated keyholder information. Keyholder showed up.

5:36 a.m. – Security alarm activated at Roy’s Store. OCSD checked; employee set off alarm.

11:33 a.m. – Caller said he has found a suicide note from his daughter. He does not know where she or her vehicle are now. OCSD officer made contact with missing female; situation resolved to officer’s satisfaction. 

11:40 a.m. – Reporting party says he has had 300 2 x 4” studs and random plates stolen from his storage building one mile west of H Highway. OCSD rendered assistance.

12:02 p.m. – Caller on Third Street in Gainesville said her tan standard poodle has been missing since last night. He is a 5-month-old male puppy that stands about knee high. He has a collar and microchip. Wanted it on record in case someone calls. Caller called back later and said dog was located.

12:27 p.m. – Caller said two teenagers have gone into the airplane hanger at the airport. Handled by officer.

2:04 p.m. – Caller on County Road 804 said a male border collie mix and a female blue Australian mix with a pink collar have been chasing his cows. Wants it on record in case someone calls, missing them.

4:25 p.m. – Medical: 86-year-old female is having chest pains and trouble breathing. OCA and Theo-dosia Area VFD responded.

5:18 p.m. – Medical: young girl has been thrown from her horse. Dora VFD and South Howell ambulance were dispatched, but ambulance was canceled as patient was transported by private vehicle.

5:41 p.m. – Suspicious incident: Reporting party’s glasses were broken at Bullseye. Handled by OCSD officer.

6:09 p.m. – Medical: 50-year-old female is having chest pains. OCA responded.

 

Sept. 10

2:39 a.m. – Caller said someone said there were cars pulling into her drive on Buttonwood Drive. OCSD responded. Checked OK.
