Zanoni news: Nov. 22, 2017

The last little shower of rain gave us .03 inches of rain. Every little bit helps.

One evening Paul dug some holes for the two bunches of mums I had gotten from Richard.

We went to MFA in West Plains Tuesday evening to get some mineral and salt feeders. We ate supper at the Ozark Cafe where Paul enjoys the fish.

I talked with Arlene Smith, who is now living in their new home. Two of Arlene’s sisters, Osa May Martin and Dorris West, had visited them a few days ago. The girls had to change from Dora School to Gainesville and really like it. They will be moving Jessica’s trailer in a few days.

We are glad to know Karla Hogan has returned to work in the post office.

Ray McDaniel has been having lots of trouble with rats on his car. He set traps, but the rats carried them off. They chewed the wiring so bad it has to go to West Plains for repairs.

Dohna and Jerald Mahan took walnuts to the huller Saturday.

Leroy and Norma have been busy raking leaves. Leroy will use them for mulch on his garden.

Paul and Wally took the John Deer tractor to the repair shop over on CC highway.

For three mornings straight I saw gobblers across the road. They seemed to be catching bugs or something. I hope they stay around. I enjoy watching them and am glad they will not be on someone’s Thanksgiving dinner table.

Our visitors in church Sunday included the Aaron Morrison family and Pat Morrison.

We hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving, and now it’s about time to put up Christmas decorations.
