Menus

Lunch is served daily from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is open to everyone. The cost is $6 for those younger than 60; a $3.50 donation is requested for those over 60. Call 679-4746 to order take-out for 25 cents more.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 19: pork quesadilla, refried beans, Tuscan-blend vegetables, cheesecake. Thursday, Sept. 20: Thai chicken over rice, Oriental-blend vegetables, egg roll, brownies. Friday, Sept. 21: fried fish, brown beans, coleslaw, cornbread, peanut butter cookie. Monday, Sept. 24: cashew chicken over rice, egg roll, Oriental-blend vegetables, Hawaiian cake. Tuesday, Sept. 25: lasagna, garlic bread, California-blend vegetables, sugar cookie.  Wednesday, Sept. 26: open-face roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied carrots, fresh-baked roll, apple dumplings.  Thursday, Sept. 27: meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, seasoned green beans, homestyle biscuit, spice cake. Friday, Sept. 28: fried fish, brown beans, coleslaw, cornbread, banana-split cake.

Wednesday, Sept. 19: Grace foot clinic (call 679-4746 for appointment), Senior Citizens of Ozark County board meeting 1 p.m. Meetings are open to the public. Thursday, Sept. 20: bingo 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21: arthritis exercise class 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24: arthritis exercise class 1 p.m., cards 2 p.m., bingo 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25: cards 10 a.m., music jam session, 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27: bingo 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28: arthritis exercise class 1 p.m.

 

OATS

OATS transportation is available to the entire county and to anyone regardless of age, income, disability, race, gender, religion or national origin. If you don’t see your area listed, call driver Angela Pleasant, 417-343-0573, for help arranging your ride. For rides from Bakersfield, Caulfield and Dora, call Jean Lawing, 284-7377; from Theodosia and Gainesville, call Mary Piepergerdes, 679-4142. To arrange rides to Springfield, call Lawing or Pleasant. For trips on Tuesday, please call by the preceding Friday; for trips on Thursday, please call by Tuesday. No scheduling is done on the weekend.

 This is the OATS schedule for the rest of  September: Each Thursday of the month Caulfield and Bakersfield go to West Plains. Tuesday, Sept. 25: The whole county comes to Gainesville. The Ozark County Food Pantry is open at a special time for OATS riders only, and the OATS committee meeting is on this day at 12:30 p.m. at The Center. Committee meetings are open to the public.
