New barn at Dora School

Through a collaborative effort of local community donors, Dora R-III Schools and the Dora FFA and 4H programs, a brand-new barn has been built on the Dora School campus. Dora superintendent Steve Richards said the project was made possible by $5,400 in private donations, a Dora FFA and 4H program allocation of $9,100 and a district allocation of $10,000. Time and labor were also donated. The construction of the building, which began in July, was overseen by Dora maintenance director Donnie Berry.  “He has done an exceptional job,” Richards said. Ag teacher Paula Bodenhammer “also does an outstanding job working with our students and community members as well as the FFA and 4H club preparing for fairs and raising livestock. We’re excited for this addition at Dora.”
