Masons help local students

Ed Kapelski, left, member of Robert Burns Masonic Lodge #496, and Bobby Grisham, Masonic home representative, recently presented a check for $512.94 to Dora School counselor Nicole Hambelton and elementary principal Brett Mitchell, right. As part of the Masons’ Needy Children program, members of the Lodge have been selling cases of popcorn during home ball games at Dora and Gainesville. Profits from the popcorn sales are matched by the Masonic Home of Missouri. Funds generated by the program help purchase items  some students can’t afford, from clothes and toiletries to school supplies.
