Lutie wins two straight in Cabool tournament

After losing their first game in the Cabool Holiday Tournament to top-seeded Seymour, the Lutie Indians came back to beat Couch and Cabool in the losers bracket and will take on Sparta at 2 p.m. today (Dec. 29).
The Indians beat Couch 56-51 on Tuesday, holding Couch to only 6 points in the third quarter.
Joe Terry led all scorers for Lutie with 19 points, followed by Thomas Ritter with 14 and Chancey Ayers with 9. Dylan Burks had 8 while Corey Christeson netted 6 for Lutie.
On Wednesday, Lutie took down tournament-host Cabool, beating the Bulldogs, 57-53.
Thomas Ritter unloaded on the Bulldogs, scoring a game-high 25 points. Josh Daffron scored 13 for Lutie, while Joe Terry had 7.
