TMR to hold crappie tourney April 28

Theodosia Marina Resort is holding a Crappie Tournament from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28. Registration begins at 6 a.m. at Theodosia Marina. The entry fee is $50 per team (cash only). There’s a $10 side pot for big fish, with a $200 guarantee for the winner. The tournament is paying out 100 percent for the top five places.
The tournament is open to everyone. Teams are limited to two people per boat, but one person may constitute a team if a partner is unavailable. Minors must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Artificial and live bait will be permitted. Take-off will be in order of paid registration. No trailering will be allowed.
Check-in time is 3 p.m. at the end of the tournament. All boats must be inside the no-wake zone at that time. Scoring will be based on the weight of seven crappie, 10 inches or longer, per team.
