Zanoni news: March 21, 2018

We got  a half inch of rain this Monday morning. Sure was nice.
Back when the wind had calmed down, the guys at Caney Mountain did some burning. We could see the fire line at night.
I talked with Virginia (Grisham) Kastning  on the 15th and wished her a happy birthday.  She still lives in Wichita, Kansas.
We hope Barbara made Wilbur Cowart a cake for his birthday, which was also on the 15th.
Paul Morrison and his two sons were here visiting Dwain and Betty on the weekend. They did some fishing and were in church Sunday.
Paul and I met Tracey and Cliff Russell for dinner at Cookie’s Sunday after church. They live in Baton Rouge and were on their way to Springfield for a doctor’s appointment on Monday. They had recently moved down South from Springfield.
Dave and Mary had been up to Travis’ to hlep him and the kids work on their new house. They also have been attending some ball games.
It’s about time for the hummingbirds to come scouting for a place to spend the spring and summer. That’s when your grocery bill goes up, buying sugar for the feeders.
Paul and Wally put a new clutch in the old red feed truck last week.
We hope everyone has a good week and maybe it will rain more.
