Likes the old photos in 2018 Hootin an Hollarin magazine

Good job, Ozark County Times staff! The 2018 Hootin an Hollarin magazine is probably the best edition ever. The photos of past Hootin and Hollarin celebrations make it really special.

When I saw the photo from 1962 of Mary and Bill Herd, my first thought was, “I’ve got to get a copy to send to Marilynn” [Peet, the couple’s great-granddaughter]. I got another copy to mail to her. Bill and Mary Herd were “Grandpa and Grandma Herd” to Dick and me. Marilynn spent summers with her great-uncle and aunt (Walter and Delia Herd) and Eunice McClelland, who lived on the farm next to us. Marilynn spent a lot of time at my house swimming and playing on the lake with my sons. A fond memory is the birthday dinner for Walter Herd on his 70th birthday. Both of his parents also attended!

I’m sure other Ozark County folks are also delighted with the old Hootin an Hollarin photos of folks they know. Thank you! The 2018 edition is really special.
