Joan M. Pieper, 90

Funeral services for Joan M. Weissinger Pieper, 90, formerly of Theodosia, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, at Assumption Catholic Church in O’Fallon. Mrs. Pieper died Aug. 9 at Laurie Care Center in Laurie, Missouri.
She was born April 11, 1929, in St. Louis, one of the twin daughters born to Gus and Elsie Weissinger. She worked for IGA Supermarket and Boatmen’s Bank in O’Fallon for 25 years then retired in 1982 to live in Theodosia with her beloved husband, Edward, remaining there until 2015.She was a devoted mother and a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Dedicated to her faith, she lived a Christian life and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Edward C. Pieper and wife Beverly, David R. Pieper and wife Linda, and Rich “Rick” Pieper and wife Linda; grandchildren Sara Bisgrove and husband Nicholas, Christopher Pieper and wife Maha, Daniel Pieper and wife MinA, Keli Horn, Robyn Thomas and husband Scott, R. Ryan Reinheimer; great-grandchildren Eddie Bisgrove, Parker Bisgrove, Brandon Thomas, Zachary Thomas, Cory Thomas, Max Pieper, Emmett Long, Luke Pieper, Jacob Pieper, Joey Pieper, Julie Pieper, Michael Javaux, Daniel Javaux, Margaret Horn and Shannon Horn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward A. Pieper, who died Jan. 4, 2010; her sister, Betty Pauli; and a great-granddaughter, Katie Lynn Javuax. Her twin sister, Jean, died within the hour and on the same day Mrs. Pieper died.
