Landry Jenkins of Gainesville, left, won first place in the boys age 12-13 Hoop Shoot competition Jan. 14 in Mountain Home, Arkansas, successfully sinking 24 of 25 free-throw attempts. Andrew Dalton of Gainesville, right, won second place in the age category, making 23 of 25 shots. The competition, now in its 45th year, was sponsored by Mountain Home Elks Lodge 1714. Local winners advance to the state competition to be held in February in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
