GHS DECA members attend leadership conference

Gainesville High School DECA members Farrah Chambers, left, and GHS chapter president Hannah Lewis attended the DECA Fall Leadership Conference Oct. 18-19 at the Lodge of the Four Seasons in Lake of the Ozarks. Both served as voting delegates representing their Gainesville chapter. At the conference, DECA members from all 12 Missouri districts came together to elect district representatives as well as state executive officers, and to participate in practice role-play competitive events, leadership training, workshops and to hear the keynote speakers. DECA adviser Patsy Hambelton accompanied Gainesville’s delegates and served as a judge for the role-play sessions.
